We will install Event monitoring software on the machine and it sends back monitor events such as issues with proper operation. If using DidItBetter Software, such as Add2Outlook, it will monitor Outlook, Outlook Closed, reboots, pending updates, high CPU percentages etc. If using Add2Exchange, it will monitor critical events for smooth operation. If neither product is used, the monitoring can be used on Servers to make sure systems run without known issues, often only identified after logging in or the system fails.
These monitored events are considered “in band” when they are active. Out of band events are indicative of issues, and when combined with the DIB InstaConnect service (sold separately), we often are alerted of a problem and can remediate without any outside assistance.
