If you already have a Service Account set up for a version of Exchange prior to 2007, follow these instructions to update the Service Account for 2007-compatible permissions.
| 1. | Open the Active Directory Users and Computers console. |
Add2Exchange Service Account

| 2. | Double-click the Service Account. Select the Member Of tab of the Properties dialog. |
Service Account Group Membership
|
| 3. | Click Remove to remove the following groups: |
| • | Administrators |
| • | Pre-Windows 2000 Compatibility |
| 4. | Click OK. |
