Request a License Key for your Order

All DidItBetter Software solutions are available as a web downloads. Once you purchase your software license, please make sure you have the most recent version of the solution installed.  We release new versions about once a month.

  • To check for updates find out what version you have installed. Log in to the replication server as the Add2Exchange Service account, or the account you have the solution installed as.  Note the version number within the Console or from Add/Remove programs.  Then go to the download section of our web site and log in as your user account in order to access the Downloads area. Select the solution you just purchased and compare the two version numbers to verify you are running the newest release.

To receive the license activation key for a recently purchased solution, Log into the replication server as the Add2Exchange Service Account.  Open the "Console" of the Diditbetter solution and select License.  You must submit a registration request for each solution purchased.

Please make sure to select the kind of user, IT Company, Authorized Reseller or End User. If you are working with an IT provider, you should specify their name in the appropriate tab so they can help you on your behalf.  If you are the IT Comapny, you MUST specify the End User, as the solution is licensed to them, and not you. Provide all required information to avoid a delay in the processing your request. 

 

Registration Request Instructions for Add2Exchange and Add2Outlook

If you are purchasing during the trial period, log on as the Service Account, open the Console, and click on the License button and follow the instructions. Please Note: If you have already purchased your solution, skip STEP 1 Purchase a License (below) and go to STEP 2 Submit a Registration Request.

Licensing Overview

When you purchase, you will not have to reinstall the program unless there is an update/newer release posted.

Each type of Relationship module (Calendar, Contacts and Tasks) is licensed and sold separately. Please follow the activation instructions for each of the modules you purchased to receive your registration key(s). You can submit one registration request by selecting each module and subscription time period for each module you bought and then select ok and then select Accept.

When you have purchased your license, submitted a registration request and have been sent your activation key, you will copy the key from the email you received, click on the License button and paste into STEP 3: License Key field. This will activate the product for use. 
TIP: We do not recommend you manually type in the key.

STEP 1 Purchase a License

The Purchase button goes directly to the DidItBetter Software online store where you can purchase a license using a valid MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover. With the importance of online security, please note our online store uses SSL encryption during the checkout process and is secure. During the checkout process, please make sure you complete the End User's information in the "Ship To" section if different from the purchaser.

We strongly recommend extending your basic Software Subscription from 1 year to 2 or 3 years with the purchase of your new license for savings on future versions of Add2Exchange. Doing so makes sure you get access to valuable new features as well as future-proof your installation against the ever-changing requirements of complex environments such as Microsoft Windows and Exchange Server.

NOTE: A member of our Software Subscription  Renewal Team will contact you to help you with your renewal in the month your software subscription will be expiring. Although you will not be able to purchase extended software subscription after your initial license purchase, you may renew your software subscription by purchasing a Software Subscription Renewal for 1, 2, or 3 years for your licensed solution anytime before your software subscription expiration date. If your software subscription expires, you will no longer be eligible for free updates/upgrades of your licensed solution and will need to purchase a Current Version Upgrade license in order to upgrade.

 

STEP 2  Submit a Registration Request For Authorized Resellers, if you check the Send License Information to this Address box, you will receive an email with the same information supplied to the End User.


The trial expires after 21 days and will stop synchronizing if you have not purchased and registered the solution. At the end of your trial, you will receive the following screen when the Console opens or when you manually select License from the Help menu.

After the trial period, the solution will not replicate/synchronize until you purchase a license. Reinstalling will not extend the trial and may cause duplication of items if not done correctly. If you need to extend your trial, you will need to purchase a Add2Exchange One-Time Trial Extension and Certification Service for $149.


Click Send License Address to Register@DiditBetter.com button to enter your registration information. At the end of this process when you click Done, an automated email will be sent to us with the information you enter in the following screens.  If the program fails to be able to send the information automatically, see below for manual sending instructions.

If you are purchasing and you are the licensed end-user, click on I am the End User and complete the contact information; the license key will be sent directly to you.

If you are any other kind of user (such as an Authorized Reseller or Independent IT Consultant/3rd party IT Vendor for the End User) as listed in the "I am the.." section, you will be asked to enter both your contact information as well as the licensed End User's information. Please click on both Tabs and complete the requested information. 

  • Fill out the END USER's contact information - the end user company name, the end user contact name of the individual authorizing the purchase at the end user company, the end user's email address and end user's phone number. As the software manufacturer, we require this information for our licensing records since solutions are licensed to end users. 
  • Click Licensing What? button to continue to the Product License Selector window. The following screen will guide you through the licensing options:

Type of Relationship (see 2 in the Figure above) - select Calendars, Contacts or Tasks.
 

  • Select the option(s) you purchased. Select the license(s) including the folder type(s), number of relationships, type of software maintenance you purchased in addition to any other add ons you purchased. 

    Available License Products (see 1 in the Figure above). In this example, we're using Add2Exchange.  When you choose Add2Exchange, the following options appear:

    • Select the Number of Relationships Licensed for Selected Folder Type/Module (see 3 in the Figure above): We offer 2, 4, 6, 10, 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 for both Add2Exchange Standard and Enterprise Editions; 1000, 2500, 5000, 10K, 25K and Unlimited for the Enterprise Edition.
  • Select all the options which apply to you i.e. that you purchased, then click Add to My License Selection Below (see 4 in the Figure above).  Your options will be saved in the My License Selection box and you will be able to select more licenses as appropriate.

The Add2Exchange license key will be generated from information specific to your domain, Exchange OU and Service Account name. For this reason, you should only complete the registration under the account that will serve as the long-term Service Account and that you are not planning on doing server migration in the near future.  Once the license key is sent to you, if any of these things change, such as a domain rename, you will require a new key. There is a nominal administration fee for such changes.  

  • When you have finished entering the information, click Done (see 5 in the Figure above). Click Accept. An email with your registration information will automatically be sent to us.

NOTE: IF the license information fails to be sent to us for any reason, these are the manual instructions to send the information to us.  Open the Add2Exchange Console and manually copy the entire contents of the field "License Info" to the clipboard and paste into an email. Please be sure to copy the entire contents by clicking in the field, hit the Home button, up arrow and Home again and then hold together shift and the down arrow key and then shift and End key.  (There are often two or three lines of text) Then hold together Control-C to copy to the clipboard.  Paste into an email or text file.  Then attach the file from the desktop of the replication server named "Add2ExchangeLicensingReequest.html" and send to Licensing@diditbetter.com.  We will generate a key from this information and send back to you.  Enter the key for the module you licensed as normally directed in these instructions.

When will I get my key(s)?
License keys typically take 1 to 2 business days (excluding holidays) to process, but please allow up to three business days. Incomplete registration requests with missing end user information or incorrect products selected will delay the processing of your request.

Once a solution license, add on, support, and/or software maintenance is purchased, please consider the sale final as per our End User License Agreement.

NOTE: If you purchased Add2Outlook, the key has to be made for each user you are licensing. Keys are issued from each user's unique Step 2 information, and each user that is to be licensed must send a separate registration request

Small fee may apply for reissuing of keys due to incorrect registration requests.

 

STEP 3  Enter Registration Key & Activate!

 

Once you purchase and receive the key by return email, copy and paste the entire key (including the dashes) in the License Key field labeled "Box #1" in Step 3 (it will automatically put the key in the right places). Click OK in the Licensing Confirmation Dialog below:

If you do not see this item, please note that each folder type (Calendars, Contacts and Tasks) requires a different key that will be sent to you by separate email. Please put the proper key in the proper licensing Box #1.  Follow the same process for each type of folder you have purchased and are licensing for your desired synchronization needs.

In the example below, Add2Exchange for Contacts has been licensed, the other 2 folder types
(Calendars & Tasks) are in Trial Mode and have not been purchased nor licensed.

When you return to the Console, you will see the new key information along with the Expiration date for your software subscription. This expiration does not apply to your license, only to the software subscription associated with it. This means you do not need to be concerned about Add2Exchange functioning after that date; it will. You will simply no longer have access to FREE Add2Exchange updates, enhancements or fixes for Add2Exchange after that date. If you let your software subscription expire, do not attempt an upgrade until after you purchase a Current Version Upgrade license.

  • If you still need assistance, please Submit a Support Request. As a licensed end user, you are entitled to free email support for your licensed solution for the duration of your software maintenance policy (i.e. as long as your software maintenance policy does not expire).

Upgrading after Trial Expired or Software Subscription Expired


Software
Subscription Expired: Current Version Upgrade License Purchase Needed BEFORE Upgrading
You can upgrade your current installation of Add2Exchange after your Software Subscription expires, but the program will not synchronize until you buy a Current Version Upgrade License and receive a new license key.  It is highly recommended not to downgrade your installation to previous installations. 

For uninterrupted operation, if you want the updated version of Add2Exchange or would like to renew your Software Subscription, please contact us PRIOR to the upgrade or expiration of your Software Subscription for incentives to renew your Software Subscription. The best value we offer you is to purchase Extended Software Subscription with your initial license OR purchase a Software Subscription Renewal BEFORE it expires.

Trial Expired: Purchase License & Submit Registration Request
If you are out of trial and the program is not licensed, you will get the following screen in the Console. This shows you that the program is not licensed and is out of trial -- In this example, Add2Exchange for Calendars, Add2Exchange for Contacts, Add2Exchange for Tasks are out of trial.

Add2Exchange will not synchronize until a license is purchased, a registration request is submitted, and an activation key is entered for the type of folder you wish to continue using.
